Haskell : Backend & Web App Developer - Remote

Coming off recent sales wins, we're excited to announce that we're expanding the engineering team.

At Tripshot, our engineering culture believes that not all tech is created equal.

We love static typing, and our tech stack reflects that fact. Backend services are all written in Haskell. Writing Haskell is sheer joy and highly productive. All web applications are developed in GWT, in our opinion the most mature of the "static language to javascript" compilers.

The next addition to the Tripshot engineering team will help with both the backend and web apps. Most of our new features require changes to both in roughly 75/25 proportion, but varies depending on the task.


  • Haskell experience is an absolute requirement. Personal projects are fine if they can be shared with us.
  • Java experience preferred. Its not necessary to have worked with GWT before, but that would be a bonus.
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent personal time management skills. You will be working from home.
  • Excellent analytical skills. Our roadmap is full of interesting problems requiring non-trivial algorithm design.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US.

Inside Sales Specialist

The Inside Sales Specialist will support the Sales Team in prospecting and building a pipeline of qualified leads. The ideal candidate is motivated, ambitious, sales minded, and confident and adept to communicating Tripshot’s value proposition.

Location: Work from Home + Travel
Department: Business Development
Hours/Days: Full Time
Compensation: Base + Commissions + Accelerators

Job Duties + Responsibilities:

  • Understand the Tripshot platform
  • Have intimate knowledge of our clients’ needs and Tripshot’s value proposition
  • Follow up on leads from marketing efforts
  • Discovering new leads through internet research and social media
  • Research contact information for prospects, targeting decision makers (C-Level, VPs, Directors, Managers), and creatively identify the best ways to develop a relationship
  • Develop a line of questioning and listening to uncover business needs, quantify pain points, create dissatisfaction with status quo if necessary
  • Qualify prospects using established criteria via cold calling, email, and utilizing internet information sources
  • Maintain and update an accurate logs of activity in CRM System (Pipeline Deals)
  • Cultivate interest and present Tripshot as a compelling solution
  • Partner with Tripshot’s marketing team on lead gen campaigns
  • Help prepare for tradeshows and events - register, make travel arrangements, partner with marketing team on necessary marketing collateral and sales assets, order swag
  • Represent Tripshot at tradeshows and events by working in exhibit booth, engaging with prospective customers, gathering contacts, generating leads (travel required)
  • Administrative tasks and Sales/Marketing related projects as needed
  • Update and engage the Director of Business Development in real time on any urgent or business impacting manners but otherwise provide weekly status reports
  • Provide feedback and suggest improvements
